Discovered in 1419 by Portuguese explorers, Madeira is now famed for its fortified wine made from local grapes and matured in Canteiro warehouses. The first in the Glenfiddich Age of Discovery range, this 19 year old is finished in ex-Madeira wine casks, adding deep earthy aromas of rich fruit and unique spicy notes to the whisky. This is the first time we’ve used Madeira casks to finish a whisky.
